Abstract
This study aims to evaluate the feasibility of utilizing PVT as a heat source for radiant floor heating systems. To achieve this, energy consumption and indoor temperature maintenance performance were evaluated through simulations for both cases: when using conventional heat sources and when using PVT as the heat source. The results showed that hot water produced by the PVT system could be used for heating during both low-load and high-load periods. However, differences in outdoor temperature and solar radiation led to variations in the applicable heating time and the amount of indoor temperature increase. Additionally, it was found that during the high-load period, it took approximately 2 hours longer to produce 40°C hot water compared to the low-load period, resulting in greater energy savings during the low-load period.
