Abstract
Opportunistic premise plumbing pathogens (OPPPs) are influenced by building water system design and operation, but current management practice has largely relied on control logic developed for Legionella. This study reviews whether major building-services variables, including thermal, chemical, hydraulic, and material conditions, can be interpreted in the same way for Legionella, free-living amoebae (FLA), and nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM).
